Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of TextTune (texttune.ai and our text-message service), operated by LDSJ Holdings, LLC ("we," "us"). By using TextTune you agree to these Terms.

The service

TextTune creates custom songs from ideas you send by text message, using automated (AI) tools. Results vary and may not be perfect.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, or have a parent's or guardian's permission.

Pricing and payment

Each phone number gets one free preview song, delivered as a private listen link that plays the full song up to 3 times within 48 hours. Preview links can’t be downloaded. Clean songs are $3.99 each, or you can buy song credits in packs (3 credits for $9.99; 10 credits for $24.99). One credit equals one clean song, or one remix after a song’s free remix. Each song includes one free remix.

If you have credits, a new song request automatically uses one credit and we text you the clean song directly, without a preview. If a song can’t be generated, the credit is returned automatically. Buying a single song ($3.99) while you have a preview unlocks that song for you to keep. Buying a credit pack while you have a preview unlocks your latest preview to keep using one credit, and the remaining credits stay in your balance.

Credits don’t expire. Credits have no cash value and are non-transferable. Credits bought under earlier pack offers keep their full value. Payments are processed by Stripe. See our Refund Policy.

Your requests

You are responsible for what you send. Do not request content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, infringes others' rights, or imitates a specific real artist. We may refuse any request.

Acceptable use

To keep TextTune kind and safe, we check every song and remix request, and the lyrics we generate, before a song is made. We don't make songs that:

  • promote hate or attack people based on who they are;
  • contain sexual content, or any sexual content involving minors (which we never allow and may report);
  • threaten or promote violence against anyone;
  • harass, bully, humiliate or mock a real private person (a playful, loving roast is fine);
  • promote or explain illegal activity;
  • copy a real singer's voice or reuse existing song lyrics. You can name an artist or song for the vibe, and we'll turn it into a style without using their name, voice or lyrics.

Mild language is fine in songs for adults, but not in kids' songs or lullabies. If a request is declined, no credit is used. Repeated declined requests may pause song requests from a phone number for a short time, and after three, song requests from that number may be blocked. Requests involving minors in sexual content are blocked right away. If you think we made a mistake, email support@texttune.ai.

If a request mentions self-harm, we won't make the song, but we'll share the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988 in the US). You can text REPORT any time to tell us about a song or message that concerns you.

Ownership of your songs

When we deliver the clean copy of a song you paid for (with a single purchase or a credit), or a song we delivered free under an earlier offer, TextTune assigns to you all of our rights, title, and interest in that song, including the audio and lyrics. You may use it however you like, including commercially, such as sharing, posting, selling, streaming, and distributing it.

Preview listen links, including your free preview, are for personal evaluation only, may not be downloaded, recorded or redistributed, and do not transfer any rights; they stop playing after 48 hours or 3 full plays.

We don’t guarantee that a song is protected by copyright: songs created mostly by AI may not qualify for copyright protection in the United States and other countries. Because songs are generated automatically, similar outputs may be created for others.

You are responsible for making sure your song and your use of it don’t infringe anyone else’s rights, for example, by using lyrics, names, or likenesses you don’t have permission to use.

You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, host, process, and deliver your songs to provide TextTune. We will only showcase your song (for example, as a sample on our website or social media) with your permission.

SMS / texting terms

  • Consent. By texting TextTune at (213) 853-7848, you consent to receive text messages from TextTune related to your requests, including your songs, payment links, and service and account messages. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
  • Frequency. Message frequency varies based on your use; you typically receive a few messages per song request.
  • Msg & data rates may apply. Your carrier's standard messaging and data rates may apply.
  • STOP. Text STOP at any time to opt out. We will send one confirmation message and no further messages unless you text START.
  • HELP. Text HELP for help, or email support@texttune.ai.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Disclaimers

TextTune is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
